The children's houses are institutions of educational attention to early childhood in the institutional modality, providing services to children of mothers, fathers, tutors, caregivers or other families, who work in entities that, based on the existing economic and material conditions, can allocate funds for their opening, maintenance and guarantee of sustainability. Emerged since 1993, they accumulate a history in which the social contribution and the positive satisfaction of families who have benefited from this educational service can be appreciated.
Located in the Camilo Cienfuegos Gorriarán community, the little house named "Seguidores de Almeida" has a capacity for 41 children, although so far there are only 26 enrolled.
The project was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of Gaviota, Empresa de Construcciones Militares, Almest and the General Directorate of Education. Only five days after the beginning of a collective race towards a better Antilla on its upcoming centennial, this sensitive work is the first of many that will be carried out to commemorate the anniversary.
The families benefited with this service, thanked not only the comfort and aesthetics of the institution, but also the human quality of those who made possible such a great work for those who know how to love.
