The Municipal Assembly of People's Power in Antilla began its ninth ordinary session of the XVIII Term of Office, congratulating the delegates who celebrated their birthdays and commemorating the advent of the 65th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution. The People's Council of Los Pinos rendered its report, which was unanimously approved. The program of activities to be developed by the Antillean deputies during 2024 was also approved. It includes visits to the seven districts of the territory and exchanges with neighbors of those communities, with emphasis on the vulnerable ones.

The presentation of the plan of activities of the Municipal Assembly and the guidelines of the permanent work commissions for the year 2024 were other points addressed. In addition, the Municipal Administration Council presented the proposals for the economic plan and the budget for 2024.

The Assembly's permanent commission that attends to the affairs of the Local Bodies illustrated the results of the control of the integrated community work in the municipality, which should be further strengthened in the next stage of work. The debate also dealt with the implementation of Law 148 on Food Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security, which, although its level of compliance is low, highlights achievements such as the organization and controlled sale of beef, rice and fish, more effective milk procurement, and the gradual consolidation of fairs on weekends.

In relation to the implementation of Agreement 70-X of the Council of State, which postpones the realization of the First Process of Accountability of the Delegate to his Electors, 40 delegates were released in the municipality, who together with their community groups carried out a satisfactory work in their respective communities.
The central words were in charge of Javiesky Valentín Sablón, first secretary of the municipal committee of the Party, who congratulated those present and exhorted them to work together for a better Antilla.
